{"id":717,"date":"2015-08-18T15:34:25","date_gmt":"2015-08-18T20:34:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lacentralrr.com\/Blog\/?p=717"},"modified":"2019-01-30T19:20:22","modified_gmt":"2019-01-31T01:20:22","slug":"camp-6-in-operation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lacentralrr.com\/Blog\/2015\/08\/18\/camp-6-in-operation\/","title":{"rendered":"Camp 6 in Operation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The past few weeks have been productive ones.\u00a0 The Spencer Lumber Company&#8217;s high line into the woods terminating at Camp 6 (the re-load point) has been completed.\u00a0 Trackwork is down, the Tortoise switch motors have been installed, wiring is complete, and I even sprayed a coat of Rust-Oleum Camouflage Brown onto the trackwork.<\/p>\n<p>Next up was the double switchback.\u00a0 The sub-roadbed for that has been installed, along with a nice section of the lower mainline.\u00a0 This mainline will bring the trains to the mill in Oneida, two townships away.\u00a0 The mainline sub-roadbed has progressed to the middle of Whitcomb (the first township).\u00a0 The photo below shows the current state of construction in the area.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve posted about a half dozen photos in the photo section of the website; you can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lacentralrr.com\/photos-constr-layout-spencer.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">-click here-<\/a> to go there if you&#8217;re interested.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lacentralrr.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Spencer-Camp-6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-730\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lacentralrr.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Spencer-Camp-6.jpg\" alt=\"Spencer Lumber Co.
