{"id":69,"date":"2013-03-18T21:56:40","date_gmt":"2013-03-19T02:56:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.lacentralrr.com\/?p=69"},"modified":"2015-03-15T16:29:50","modified_gmt":"2015-03-15T21:29:50","slug":"how-do-i-comment-on-a-post","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lacentralrr.com\/Blog\/2013\/03\/18\/how-do-i-comment-on-a-post\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;How do I comment on a post?&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is a question I&#8217;ve been asked twice in the past week.\u00a0 And I concede that WordPress (the software that this blog uses) is not particularly intuitive in that regard.<\/p>\n<p>If you wish to comment on a post, click the <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>Comment<\/em><\/span> word at the bottom of the post.\u00a0 IMHO this is why it isn&#8217;t intuitive.\u00a0 At times the &#8220;button&#8221; will say <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>No Comments<\/em><\/span>, and at other times it&#8217;ll be something like <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>1 Comment<\/em><\/span> or <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>2 Comments<\/em><\/span> (or however many comments exist for that post).<\/p>\n<p>Click it and you&#8217;ll come to the <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>log in<\/em><\/span> link, or if there are already some comments, go to the bottom and you&#8217;ll see the prompt to the <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><em>log in<\/em><\/span> link there.\u00a0 Once you get logged in, you can comment to your hearts content.\u00a0 Also, once logged in, you can comment on any other post without additional hassle.<\/p>\n<p>The reason for all this is to help control idiots, spam and bots.\u00a0 That&#8217;s the way the software is set up and I have no control over that.<\/p>\n<p>So, comment away folks.\u00a0 Really, it took far more time for you to read this than to log in and comment.<\/p>\n<p><em>-Jack<\/em><\/p>\n<p>P.S.\u00a0 I got a chuckle when I was about to post this and the WordPress spell checker kicked in.\u00a0 The word that was flagged as misspelled was <strong><em>WordPress.<\/em><\/strong> \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-70 alignright\" alt=\"A Big Grrin\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lacentralrr.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/biggrin.gif\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a question I&#8217;ve been asked twice in the past week.\u00a0 And I concede that WordPress (the software that this blog uses) is not particularly intuitive in that regard.
