And looking at the line from the other
direction, that's the skeleton log car at the extreme left sitting
where the mainline now ends. That is the west edge of
Whitcomb. The alcove is a few feet left of this view, where
the Spencer mainline will have a tight hairpin curve. The
Louisiana Central is entering the east end of Spencer in the
foreground. That wide area will have the mainline, a passing
track, and an industry spur serving a freight house, and a farm
implement and supply dealer.
